WYoming University has agreed to hire at least 1,400 more staff as part of its effort to increase enrollment and help stem a sharp decline in tuition.WYOMing President Tom Middendorf said Thursday the university will invest more than $200 million to improve its student and faculty life.
Wyoming University President Tom K. Middendorff says the university has committed to hiring 1,100 additional staff.
In addition to hiring more staff, the university also is making some structural changes to its financial aid process.
Middendorff said the university is also looking at investing in more affordable housing.
He said the money will go toward paying for a new building, which will include new classrooms, as well as additional spaces to house students and faculty.
